Child and Family Service (Kids Cottage – Warilla) Provides the following services for children: Psychology and social work - May assist children with behavioural, emotional and social problems through counselling and therapy. Occupational Therapy - Offers assessment and therapy for children having trouble with activities such as handwriting, colouring-in and drawing, cutting out and tying shoe laces. This therapy may be offered individually or in group/school programs. Physiotherapy - This service assess and treats children having difficulties with balance, co-ordination, pigeon-toes, knock-knees and low strength. Speech Pathology - Paediatric Speech Pathologists assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in children. Therapy may be offered individually or in group/school programs. Audiology - This service provides assessement of children's hearing and middle ear function. Referrals for the above services are often made by professionals, however parents/carers can contact the service directly. The Early Childhood Health Service is available Tuesdays & Wednesdays from the Wollongong and Dapto Offices. IAMS Doctors and Registered Nurses are available Monday to Friday.
The service provides newborn examinations, immunisations, advice on feeding, diet, behaviour and development, hearing checks, Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist and Paediatric Clinics.
